The Church of Spiritual Creativity developed out of Penelope’s Artist’s Way workshops. Upon completion of the workshop, many artists found they wanted to keep in touch with the power of their creative energy. Penelope developed a church service to meet these needs as a spiritual practice. The congregation currently meets 4 times a year. During the service, Penelope creates a sacred space, encourages performance and leads a visualization. After the visualization, participants are encouraged to draw and color anything that has come to them along with any words of wisdom they might have received. During sharing time, all are enriched upon hearing each individual’s message and experience.  We end with a love offering, and a closing prayer circle followed by a pot luck social time.

Interfaith Ministry

Rev. Penelope E. Clement was ordained as an interfaith minister in 2003 at St. John the Divine Cathedral in New York City. She received her training from the New Seminary. Her class formed in 2001 and came together in New York immediately following 9/11. This was a very powerful experience, and made the necessity for a broader spiritual viewpoint in the world evident. Penelope and her classmates are clear that all paths to God are important, and need to be honored. She supports the Dali Lama’s view that peace is only possible if there is peace among the religions of the world.
